The owners of this small East Arlington house wanted to expand their living area with a modest addition that would dramatically improve the quality of their space. The new addition will consist of an open living and dining area at the first floor and a large bedroom at the second floor. The space beneath serves as a carport and bike storage area. The addition will be highly energy efficient, with well-insulated walls, floor, and roof and a whole-house upgrade to electric heat pumps. Construction began in October 2025 and is expected to continue through the spring of 2026.
